Well things have been getting harder with my mum so I've realised I can't put it off any longer I have to read this book and see what its about and if it can help. I'm feeling pretty nervous about it but if it helps my mum I'm up for it.
If 'contented dementia' helps you to help your Mum, then that is all that you could ask for. Forget the name of the book; forget all about the negative reception the book received on TP and via the Alz Soc; forget all about the title of the book. Just remember your own feelings about how you feel that it could help you and your Mum. If it helps you to help your Mum ... then brilliant. Go for it! And I wish you and your Mum well. Take care of you all, .
thank you so much that is very wise advice and very reassuring
