Lovely Day

Rate this Entry
we spent most of yesterday in Leek, market town on the edge of the Staffordshire Noorlands. Real farmers selling real vegetables ie not in plastic trays. Bought wonderful food - much nicer than supermarket shopping and had a great Italian lunch. Watched a couple at the next table, much older than we arfe chatting animatedly and felt sad because that won't be us. Wish I could stop spoiling the joy of the present with fears for the future. After lunch we walked in Ladderedge Country Park with Lucy who was ecstatic romping in the fallen leaves. The trees were a glory. Keats got it right 'Season of mists and mellowe fruitfulness' Then came home home had a much needed sleep and out to the theatre in the evening 'Bouncers' wicked funny and sad at the same time. Probably too much for one dsay as I feel 'spaced out' this morning and have needed several tries to get logged in both here and face book. Morning sickness subsiding so time for breakfast.
Going to try and live today without worrying about tomorrow. All shall be well.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day down there, and I feel jealous as I love those markets, because everything is so fresh and clean, not in plastic wrapping.
