living in hope

Went to visit Brian this morning with older granddaughter, he was sat in TV room and was in a good mood. Granddaughter went and gave him a cuddle and sat on his knee for a while, then did some colouring until her mum came to pick her up. Brian was very settled for the whole visit, asked for some paper to use when he was working!
When I was ready to leave I said I would bring a writing pad in tomorrow, "what for" he said!!
I only stayed for an hour and a half and he did not get agitated at all, maybe a shorter visit is best for the moment, time will tell.
I went into town with my friend and didn't know a lot of the shops, I haven't been in town for years for a good look round, so I enjoyed it and bought a couple of things. Had cuppa and strawberries and jelly, delicious. On way home we went and got some fish and chips to take back to their house, don't think I will have lost any weight this week!!
