It's been a while since my last entry. Dad is definitely calmer on these new drugs. But nothing major different. Dad is slowly, very slowly losing more memory and word capabilities and having some confusion issues.
Dad did have episode over Christmas. They spent it with hubby and i. Dad had been looking quite peeky, but we kept an eye on him. Mum was not well either and they were both on antibiotics for coughs. Mum decided she wanted to go home to convelescent on boxing day. They had packed and Dad was really going down hill fast. Dad was upset and tearing up, he couldn't understand how he felt, only he said he feels stupid. We assured him he was NOT. He went to go upstairs and i noticed he struggled to go upstairs, so i followed him and he was in tears again. I asked him to try to explain how he felt, as he described what he felt i asked him could we phone an ambulance to get him checked out as i suspected him having a stroke. He agreed.
We suspected right and Dad was indeed having/had another mini stroke and luckily recovered well on this occasion.
Mum is also recovering, but has to go for an xray to check out another type of cough she has developed.
Boy i have never experienced two people with so many ailments that need attention!Dad has got two assessments coming up.
Mum and Dad managed to go away for the new year Docs said they were well enough is they felt fit enough to go.
I have been going down to see them and do what i can as normal. I have now got my new/old car on the road it's better equipt to cater for the needs of my parents and myself.
I will post again when Dad has been assessed.
Thanks for taking time to visit and read my catchup. x
