I am a care giver i work in a home with 13residentsliving with dementia/alzheimers and i have got such a bond with each one of them...i dont have a big family its just myself 2brothers a mum and a gran who i love alot but ever since workin here i feel i have expanded my family...
I have a little lady i care for who has ever been married or had any children and iv taken a shine to her she is nearly 90 and she reminds me soooo much of my grandma she is so softly spoken and always worries about getting the money for the poor children and i cant seen to remove myself from my job....I no when the time comes i will be so heartbroken and its horible ...i dread it ifshe has a fall or iv any of them fall and have to go to hospital case they never come home i just want the end of life care to be at home with 'us' me the carer and staff i work with i just wish i could switch off
