Our Alzheimer's Journey

Visited Friday, Brian was quite lively, not sure what he was saying but we had a laugh and the visit passed pleasantly.
Saturday, again Brian in good mood one of the best visits I have had for quite a while. I left at lunchtime as I was going on a residential for work to Sheffield.
Monday, Brian not bad, sat in conservatory which he has been doing a bit lately which is an improvement from wanting to remain in his room, got bit agitated and key worker took him to the loo and he had wet his pad which he obviously didn't like. Carers put a pad on him now although sometimes he doesn't need it but hit stops him getting to wet if he has an accident. He was walking very bad, leaning backwards and carer had to lead him holding both of his hands.
Tuesday, Again Brian was on reasonable form, at one point he got agitated and stood up so I took him to the toilet and he went to the loo ok. He walked much better today, I just needed to hold one hand, he also seemed to understand quite a bit of what I said today, although most of what Brian said was gobbledygook.

You write abut Brian but I am wondering how this is affecting you and trying to imagine what it all is like for you - which of course I can't really do as I'm not you. But, I wanted you to know that you are being thought about as well as him!
