Our Alzheimer's Journey

Posted Yesterday at 11:23 PM by living in hope

Went to see Brian after lunch, a lady was there who does movement to music, she has them catching balls and throwing them and using a stretchy band and parachute and a couple of other things. Brian was reluctant to do anything at first but gradually tried to join in and seemed to enjoy it and actually threw a ball in the air a few inches and caught it again! No tears today, so quite a good visit.

My father, age 67, has alzheimers and is highly likely to have cancer. He lives in SW London, can anyone advise of support groups or literature or infact any othe useful info or support as to how we can best support my Dad. He is finding this very confusing and is quite bewildered. We want to start preparing ourselves.

She said she had asked me questions about how he was getting on - this was during the Carer's Assessment of me on 20th October - and this constituted a Review of him.

I only discovered this when Brian's...
