My mother has just been diagnosed with middle stages of Alzeimers and my Dad is having a huge problem accepting this. They have been married almost 69 years and have just returned to UK from France...they moved out there at the age of 84. Homesick for England, they are now living in a retirement flat..my Dad's comment, don't like living here much, all these old people creeping about and there he is wobbling about with a stick and my mother only concerned about her make up!!! What a pair they...

Went to see Brian after lunch, a lady was there who does movement to music, she has them catching balls and throwing them and using a stretchy band and parachute and a couple of other things. Brian was reluctant to do anything at first but gradually tried to join in and seemed to enjoy it and actually threw a ball in the air a few inches and caught it again! No tears today, so quite a good visit.
