Monday, son visited and said Brian was ok just bit tired, at one point Brian asked for mam and son thought he meant me so said I was at work and would be there tomorrow, Brian said "that's good it will be great to see her again" and got upset and son realised Brian had meant his mam! then must have remembered that she died years ago!
Tuesday, went to see Brian after I had been to dentist, he was bit quiet and got upset a couple of times but that seems to just be something we have to accept as part of the illness.
Today, went after work and Brian was stood up in dining area and I realised how much weight he has lost, normally he is sat down when I go or he is hunched over, but today he was stood a bit straighter and looked quite slim, going to ask his key worker how much weight he has lost, I know he eats really well and that it is part of the illness to loose weight but he seems to have lost it fairly quickly (or else I didn't notice!) sometimes I see what I want to see!

Hallo Lorraine - My Brian often thinks his mum is still alive and it is so upsetting when you see the tears well as they grieve again briefly, isn't it. For some reason Brian thought he was coming home to his brother's house from Day Centre this week and was surprised when I opened the front door to him. His brother died (cancer) in 2000. He didn't recognise our house as his and expected his brother to appear, so I had to remind him. So sad. Hope your Brian's weight loss is not too rapid. Let us know what is said.
