My husband does not accept that he cannot be left on his own. If I need to go somewhere, which is not very often, our Daughter will have him. But if she was ever unavailable, he will not accept the suggestion of even my neighbour coming round to check on him. Any suggestions will be greatfully received. JC
Well I finally decided to ring social services and they are coming to assess me tomorrow. I'm hoping that after a chat they will be able to offer me some help. What I would really like is for someone to come and take the MIL out for a day each week. This would give me the opportunity to go out with my friends, have friends over, catch up on housework or just spend the day with my feet up munching on chocolate. So after finally managing to get some sleep last night thanks to Vonny's words on one of my posts, I've thought long and hard, and have decided to start a blog (hopefully it will help others, and certainly me to write things down). Thursday 18th, went to the home for the CC review meeting, there were 9 people in the room including me! we did not have to go through the domains again as we had done that 2 weeks earlier, and this meeting was to clarify if Brian needed one to one and if there were any other needs. The home's staff explained how he had been behaving and requested 2hrs a day one to one funding, the CC lady said that if to much one to one care was requested the panel may query if he was in the best place for his ...
