The bouquet arrived this morning and cheered me up. I also got another photo in the paper today as they had so many entries last week and lots of friends left messages on facebook too Its nice to know people are thinking of you.
Well. That will teach me to take a day off. Just had a phone call from the OOH's social work team to say that Mom was taken to A&E in the early hours of this morning following a fall. Apparently, no broken bones or anything, but yet to get to the bottom of how she came to be there. I suspect that my brother who lives with her made the call, but at a loss to understand why he didn't ring any of us to let us know. Need to explore that further later; probably too wound up to think of it. ...
Well I have just found this site, silly of me realy, I am a part time carer, ane use the internet for most things, so should have had a look for this agesa ago. My Mum is suffering from " The Long Goodbye " have had a read of the various symptoms expected, and yes Ma has almost every one of these.. Could write a book on it eh ! Lisa
My photo of the cowparsley against the sunset won first prize in the local paper and a bouquet from a very upmarket florist is being delivered on monday morning. It cheered me up, but I am still feeling a bit emotionally delicate
Since my last blog entry, the week hasn't been too bad at all really. Mom has been fairly stable, and was reviewed in the memory clinic today, and is due to start some medication in patch form (can't remember the name just now). Anyway; we're going to give it a try and see how she gets on - fingers crossed and all that.The down side was that I got a parking ticket for being in a disabled bay - don't have a badge yet as haven't had time to apply. Anyway, the jobsworth warden ...
