Following the recent headlines about deadlines being set for claiming back care home fees I have been trawling the internet trying to find out how you go about registering a claim. All very confusing! hundreds of companies who want to do it for you and then I am guessing they take a percentage of your claim as their fee???

  4. Deputyship

    Dear All,
Sorry I haven't been on for a while, kept losing my login details, then when they were resent I didn't have time to login!
Anyway, I wonder if anyone has experience of the above. MiL's house about to be sold, and once SS have been paid for the care home fees that she owes them we were thinking of buying a small property in order to rent to go towards her fees and give her an asset for the future as the interest rates on savings are appalling.
